According to PerthNow, the Salmon are on the bite down Albany way at the moment. Never been Salmon fishing but would love to give it a crack. If only I could swindle a couple of days leave from the wife :D

Taken from Perthnow:

There have been huge numbers of salmon around Albany, while a couple of decent bronze whalers landed at the Salmon Holes.

Tuna have turned up in King George Sound, at times being caught in surprisingly shallow water.

King george whiting fishing has been good in the Sound, but anglers need to be prepared to move to find fish. Squid fishing is on the improve, but they are generally not big specimens yet.

Herring and small skippy are widespread along the coast, but are generally fishing best in spots where the salmon are not chasing them.

For offshore anglers, the Continental Shelf is producing a good mix of reef fish, including pink and queen snapper, red snapper, hapuka, skippy and samson fish.

The rivers are a little discoloured after rain, but are fishing reasonably for black bream to 35cm, with plenty of smaller fish.

Both harbours still have some blue swimmer crabs and small KGs. Pinkies, mulloway, herring, bream and skippy have come from the marina.

There are signs of a late run up the west coast, with water temperatures in close between the Capes dropping, plenty of herring around and whispers of the odd fish coming from Geographe Bay. However, better numbers have been caught farther south at Hamelin Bay and closer to Augusta.

Hey Craig,
they were running at the Beach near Calcupp Hill Warren River, they had them by the bucket full, they were a very impressive size!
