Patrol or Landcruiser??

Hi all, As you can judge by my name I'm an inexperienced 4 wheel driver. My main question is, I want to buy either a Patrol 4.8 GU3/ 4 auto or a 80/105 series 4.5, I know both are extremely reliable and quite thirsty. I've been told the Patrol is a better bet as they are very forgiving as they basically have a light truck drivetrain. Do either have a rear diff lock standard or do you have to fit aftermarket ones? Any info/tips are greatly appreciated.

Both great vehicles so either really. Not sure on Toyota specs but on the Patrol just try find one not on gas. The factory rear lsd is fine so no need for rear locker. Auto would be my pic as the sports shift 5 speed is a great box.
